Originally made for my church, these illustrations were meant to inspire resisting the demands of the world in their own way – money, violence, waste & power.

In the spirit of protest posters, the illustrations were first made as hand-carved stamps. The designs were then re-tweaked in Photoshop for a larger, poster-sized format. The typography is derived from a vintage wood-type catalogue book.

If/When

The Tea Club’s If/When came from their progressive rock roots, but with touches of folk, acoustic guitar work and haunting melodies.

The album cover is meant to convey the moment of either sinking or rising. The lyrics say it best, “I say if, I mean when.”
